Miss Raegan is ONE!
I adore this sweet little baby. She is just the sweetest little doll baby.
I guess she is not such a baby anymore!
Poor thing was getting in a mouth full of teeth and was not entertained by our agenda of a photo session.
We were able to distract her long enough to get some adorable images and even with a stuffy nose and sore mouth she managed to give us some sweet grins and some even cuter scowls. Is it terrible that I love the crying pictures???
Is your baby about to turn one? Let us help you plan an extra special session to commemorate this milestone!

Miss E is THREE!! To say this child is adorable is an understatement. It always makes me feel a lllliiiitle old when I photography Miss E, because you see, I used to babysit her mommy….oh about 20 years ago. Sighhhhh.
Anyway, moving on. We had SO much fun documenting this sassy girl becoming a “threenager”, get it? Three + teenager! Ha ah it made me giggle…
She was Harry Potter for Halloween so we just HAD to get some in it! Miss E also has a special love of Disney’s newest princess Elena of Avalor.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE 1st birthday cake smash sessions! It is always a pleasure to get to document one of our newborn clients 1st birthdays. This little sweet pea was so fun to photograph!
She played shy for a little bit but warmed up and we were able to capture some adorable images for her momma!
I just adore the pink and gold polka dot theme of this session, it is so girly and simplistic at the same time. Miss B’s Auntie Lauren made the banner for us and I styled the cake to coordinate with all the pink and gold…ever her tutu matched..Aaaaadorable! <3
This is just a small sampling of her amazing session, you can view her entire gallery here.

Sweet Willow is ONE!!! While I cannot wrap my head around her being so big, I was BEYOND excited when Willow’s mommy contacted me to set up her 1st birthday cake smash session! I was even more excited to hear that she was planning a “Butterfly Garden” theme! I live for the springtime and fresh flowers and who doesn’t like butterflies?
My goal for her session was to keep things simple, yet beautiful. I chose a soft yellow frosting for her cake and decorated it with a few butterflies from the kit I purchased to create the butterfly rainbow on the cream wood backdrop. I also mirrored the same rainbow effect on her cake to tie the two together. Doesn’t it just make you happy?!?

I absolutely love planning 1st birthday sessions. I had a conversation recently with a mommy inquiring about her baby’s 1st birthday session…we got to talking about pricing and how she has used other cheaper or less experienced photographers for her child’s milestone session, but she really wanted GOOD pictures for the 1 year. I understand that 100%. Save your hard earned money on the milestones like 3, 6 & 9 months. But don’t cut corners on the big milestones like 1 year. Your baby’s first birthday is a milestone that is worth the investment, even if you have to make payments. Your baby only has one first birthday.
Send me a message to plan your little ones smash session. You won’t regret it! Anyway, I have gotten WAY off topic, sorry Willow <3
Here is a peek at Miss Willow’s newborn session. She made me work, HARD at her newborn “sessions”. You see Miss Willow didn’t get the memo that she only had one visit to the studio, she wanted 3…but I love her anyway. <3

Why does it feel like I never blogged these sweet kids and their Milk and Cookies Sessions?!? Oh, yeah, because I am WAYYYYY behind. <—– Story of my life!
It is always fun to plan our annual Children’s Christmas Sessions.
This year I thought I would take it back to our VERY first theme from 2011, Milk and Cookies!
Each child got to sip milk and nibble on cookies all while adorning their coziest christmas pajamas! Who wouldn’t love that?!?!
At the end of each session the kids all received a personalized cookie courtesy of ME, yep I also bake, and never sleep.
I have been asked to make a page to showcase my baking….so while I am no expert I do enjoy making beautiful treats for my clients, family and friends! You can follow my sweet treat adventures on my Facebook Page!
“The days are long but the years are short.” Everyone says your kids are going to grow so fast. They really, really do.
I made a promise to myself that I’d take the time to not only shoot more “big camera” photographs of my children but actually edit and print them. We all have a million iPhone pics of our kids. But will we really be happy with only having these low quality phone pics in 20 years? I swear every time I get a new phone I lose half of my photos anyway!
Even though I hated getting dressed up and hauled to K-Mart photo studio every year <barf> my parents took us to have our family photos taken at least once a year as kids. We have the horrid 80’s hair and fashion in prints to prove it!!
My daughter is always willing to get glammed up and do a photo shoot. My son…well he’d rather stay home and play.
Since the summer I’ve been trying to coax him into a themed shoot. I don’t always like themes but he’s 8 and lets face it, there aren’t many years left that he will humor me. Well tonight he didn’t say no! So we gathered props and the camera and this was the adorable result!
I hope you enjoy. ❤
*No fish were harmed during this photo shoot. The glass was empty, my mad skills and Photoshop made that fish appear*
Let me know if you need photographs of your littles. We don’t have many spring dates left.
It is always wonderful when a newborn client returns for a Family Session, but when they contact you wanting to surprise their wife with a family session for Mother’s Day, I mean come on, how sweet is that, epic right?!?
Guys don’t get me wrong, I know we give you a hard time, but it is usually the wives who make contact and set everything up for these sessions.
What a perfect Mother’s Day gift!
Husbands….are you taking notes?
